Pondview concern (May 2008)

At the annual meeting, homeowners were asking about the status of the standing water and mounds of dirt on Pondview. The Park Supervisor for the City responded as follows:

"We plan to cut a swale in the ground between the low area (where all the dirt has been dumped) and the creek so that collected water drains off naturally. This should alleviate the standing water that had been documented in the park. We don't have a firm date yet for when we will start, unfortunately, and it may be a while. At the very least, I'd say we will have to wait until the end of the rainy season before we can get equipment into the area. I'll keep you posted as progress develops, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or comments."

Los Rios Extension  (March 2008)

Representatives from Stoney Hollow HOA, Los Rios HOA, and Creekside HOA came together and presented a request to the City that would keep Los Rios Blvd. 4 lanes instead of the projected 6 lanes from Hwy 544 to Parker Road. Some of the reasons cited were current low traffic volume, preservation of trees and landscaping in the median and maintaining the existing speed limit for safety of residents and student population. The City listened to our request and then turned to the Traffic division to validate our findings. The final decision was unanimous to keep Los Rios Blvd as a 4 lane road. It was great to see the support from all the neighborhoods that border Los Rios.
